Weddings and Tuition

Cousins Sarah and Robert got married over the last two weekends; not to each other. Sarah and her new husband were a gorgeous couple - and it was fun to spend time with my mom's side of the family. Robert and his new wife had a FABULOUS wedding and reception - and it was equally fun to spend time with Trenton's mom's side of the family! We met our nephew Ethan for the first time, and he is just adorable!

We didn't take pictures in Denver, but we did take some at Sarah's wedding, and I will post them shortly.

On a rather different note, Trenton and I have been applying for pell grants since we've been married, and have been so blessed to continually receive them, making the tuition monster shrink significantly each semester. This semester, ALL of my tuition AND health insurance is paid for, because I am listed as graduating this December. I'm only taking one class, but typically, the Pell Grant is less when you take less credits, but I actually have money left over for some reason this time. We don't keep the money, although that would be nice so we could use the extra for Trenton's balance or even for books, but it's still more than we thought we would get. I am SO grateful for the blessings that Trenton and I have continually received in the financial department. We are too spoiled and equally blessed - and I appreciate it! It's really easy to take life for granted especially when there aren't major struggles, but I think right now I am really amazed at how MUCH we have been blessed with - and just the fact that although we are poor starving students, we are neither poor nor starving, really in any sense of either of those words.

I'm excited to get this semester out of the way - and then to finish my Independent study classes while we're on an Internship next winter ---- and then FINALLY to get my degree! Woo hoo! Hopefully these next few months go by SUPER fast. :0]

I love your comment about the blessings you have seen in your life with tuition, etc. I remember when John and I were poor newly wed students. I loved those days. We were definitely blessed. It is so nice to be able to pause and see the blessings, little or small, and be grateful to our Heavenly Father for his tender mercies.

We are blessed to have you in the family! We miss you guys tons! How about an internship in CO...since Washington was suggested, I thought I'd throw in my vote. And hey, come stay with us :o) !

James, you're too cute. I'm such a boob and get all teary eyed when my super grown up little sister shares her insights and gratitude.

Love you!
