So, thanks first of all to Casey for the saWEEET giraffe pjs - love em - this picture is showing just how much we are stretching the whole "how long will Brooklin be in size newbees" game. it's actually not a game but I was just thinking that's kind of what it's turning out to be. Both trent and i have different articles of baby clothing that we're very fond of and are sad to see be packed away, so... we haven't packed anything away yet. :0) anyway - notice the sleeves are a little too short now, and her diaper is bursting out in a rather inappropriate location. I daresay it's time for the little giraffes to be packed away for the next miniature little to be welcomed into our family :00

Oh, this is a good one. So. Two weeks ago today I was clipping baby b's nails since she had fallen asleep on me and i'd heard that the best time to cut the claws was while they were napping. we had robert and casey over - and i was probably not putting as much focus into the tiny little nails that i should have, and consequently CUT OFF THE TOP OF HER FINGER. seriously - it was bleeding like mad and allof robert casey and trent can testify that brooklin was crying like a mad woman for at LEAST an hour. then we bathed her and they were able to witness how much she adores her tubby time, and then she proceeded to scream once more. poor girl! the owie can still be seen, a whole two weeks after the fact. this shows how bad of a mom i was - since baby skin usually heals quite rapidly. i'm telling you , this event has traumatized me perhaps even more than little brooklin! sooo - i haven't cut her nails since then. i'mtoo afraid! trent volunteered to try it out, and since she had fallen asleep in the living room, he hopped on it. He was amazing! she never cried, or grimaced or ANYTHING like she had the last few times i attemped but never actually ended up cutting her nails. it's his newjob. YAY!

Annnd here we have our little mascot. Juli purchased this baby cheerleading out fit for us shortly after we found out that we were having a girl. it's ADORABLE! it will fit her for a very long time. it's WAY huge on her now -she has an outfit on underneath it so it doesn't look
too huge in this shot. she's practicing her cheering moves, andi'm sure she'll be down with the squad come football season this fall. her little flower has a "Y" in the middle of it - grandma meibos's idea for the group shot at the reunion - and courtesy of aunt gretchen who actually put it all together! turned out adorable if you ask me :0)

pahaha I just have to laugh when I see this precious shot. there was abetter one of her chewing on her puppies, but it was blurry. this picture does, however, show just how bright eyed this little girl can be! she lovesto just look around and check things out. she follows objects all around as we move them from side to side and in circles above her. and my GOODNesS look at those cheeks! she is certainly filling outvery nicely indeed.

Last but not least, our girl baby girl smiling and waving her arms around in jovial acclamation. what an adorable HAPPY little girl!!! we're so excited to show her off back home this week - and to let the grandparents and aunt and uncles have a go with this cute littleincreasingly interactive gal.
To Brooklin.
cheers

Jami! She looks SO much like you as a baby in the first pic...she's WAY too cute. I love your commentaries about each picture, I could totally "hear" your voice as I read them. Have fun in Auburn! Give everyone hugs for each other from us :)
Oh man, i cannot tell who she looks more like, you or Trent! But either way she is TOTALLY adorable! I am so excited to meet her someday! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the BYU outfit. Awesome. ;)
I'm so sorry about your fingernail clipping nightmare! It does get easier, even though Emma doesn't sleep through it, her nails aren't itty bitty, so it isn't quite as scary. She is adorable and getting so big! How much does she weigh now?
GO BYU!!! Very cute cheer outfit!
It's hard to let go of some of those favorite outfits! But never fear - there are always more cute clothes to discover. :)
She is SOOOO adorable! It is so fun to read your stories and remember going thru those sames phases with Elise. I too made her wear my favorite outfits for a little longer than was probably comfortable, and while I didn't completely cut off the top of her finger I did give her quite a good nick and ended up crying harder than she did about it :) I hope to get to see her in person one day. Are you guys going to the reunion at the end of the month?
What a beautiful baby girl! Thanks for putting up some more pictures. I always have a hard time packing clothes away, but then I always find clothes in the new size that I love as well. Hope all is well!
Grandpa can hardly wait to snuggle and listen to her tell be stories!
So cute! It was fun to see her the other night. She is chunking. Oh, and about the nails ... try baby fingernail scissors.
Your little girl is so cute! I'm glad you found my blog. :) I love the little cheerleader outfit.
I think every mom does that at least once. I found nail scissors with my last baby and I think they are much easier to use than those dumb clippers.
she is starting to look so much like you jami. oh my goodness. sooooo cute! I love love love the byu cheer outfit.
