I put one of her toys in a sheet protector and she thought that was pretty funny. Kept her entertained for at least 5 minutes.

FISHY FACE!

I think here she was begging for the phone. Or something

Sporting an outfit a little too early - still pretty baggy, but pretty cute! Thanks gma smith!

Brooklin, again in an outfit a little too big - but super cute! Thanks Guisingers!

Here's a better shot of the cute outfit. OH and Brooklin is pretty good at smiling for the camera. Especially when she knows she'll get to look at herself immediately afterwards. She's a cheeser!

Here's Brooklin just seconds after having scooted across the room to get to the phone/camera. Look at the determination in those eyes! haha

Playing... on mom's legs. Cute face!

Ah, one of my favorites! We decided that being inside all day long was not happening that day - so we bundled up and took a walk. She LOVES being outside, no matter the weather. I would say her least favorite is full on sun because she's not too fond of the sun in her face. Look at those eyes!

Again, Brooklin trying to get to the phone - It's actually turning out to be a good motivator to work on her moving around skills. Not that I'm in any hurry to have her mastering mobility - but it's definitely time to get working on the crawling and scaling skills

Here's a cute shot of her playing with probably something she shouldn't be - and wearing size 18 month pjs - Yeah I know, they're WAY too big - but they will be fitting her SOON! Ok in a few months. Which really isn't that soon, and not all that surprising. CUTE GIRL!

Love her eyes in this one.

Haha cheeser smile!

This is Brooklin all ready to go for Church. And eating the wiimote to kill the time

Cutie girl! Probably on our way to get groceries

And this is Brooklin attempting to steal ALL of her daddy's food.
Now this next picture is the one that was supposed to go NEXT after the last few pictures shown. If that makes sense. And then if you can scroll back UPWARDS - that would be correct chronology from this point.

(START OF POST) theoretically
Brooklin gets a new crib! Here she is checking it out. This was the night we got home - she was exploring and making sure she still had access to a nice comfy mattress and slats with which to see through.
Here she is enjoying the new view :)
Brooklin and I have been home for three weeks - and it seems like FOREVVVVVER! Man. I'm in serious need of some warm sunny weather. I've got the January bummers.
But, on a more cheery note - here are some pictures from the last three weeks. Mostly of Brooklin - which is what you love anyway :)
Okay, so this first picture actually isn't a more cheery note - but it does come with a story.
We were playing tennis with the Littlegang while in Washington at Balleys. We finished. I selfishly snatched Brooklin because I hadn't hung out with her in a little while and was just wanting some lovin from the little one. We took off a little bit ahead of everyone else because i had to make a pit stop - and handed her off to Trent. Once out - I snatched her up again. To get out of the tennis courts you have to go up some stairs, and then cross a "balcony" type area - which used to be for viewing tennis matches, but is now for viewing people working on their moosils. Anyway and at the end of the "balcony viewing area" there are a couple of steps down before you leave the tennis area into a windowed hallway. I was holding Brooklin in such a way that I didn't notice those two steps - and since I was being a turbo so I could assure my holding of brooklin wouldn't be interrupted, I didn't have anyone else in front of me to watch go down the steps AND I was holding her right in front of my face - you know, like giving her kisses and stuff as we were walking..... sooooo I fell. But, since there were only two steps it wasn't a big fall. BUT BUT for some reason, as I was falling - and landing on my BUM , not my hands - I dropped my baby and she hit her head on the second step. I was terrified! I didn't want to pick her up because I thought of all those Grey's Anatomy episodes where head traumas were made worse because someone moved the victim - or something like that - so I wanted to call an ambulance and have them check her out before we moved her..... buuut Grandma Little probably knew better and knew that what Brooklin wanted right then was comfort so she dropped her bags and swooped over to my baby and held her from then until the parking lot. I was really mad at myself for dropping Brooklin (with my left arm... remember the numbness and weakness going on on that side? anyway) Ultimately, Brooklin was okay. We didn't take her to the ER until later - at about 2 am - because she wasn't sleeping, she was screaming - and they checked her out - CT and all, and said she was fine. She had a black eye because of the bumped head - I guess the broken blood vessels drained down into the eye area. Her face was scraped up which you can kind of see in the picture. She actually still has a little bit of a bruise looking thing above her eye but I really don't know if that's from the same thing. Before we left washington she looked all better so I don't know. Deidre - if you're reading this - there's a "moment" for you! I think these types of things happen to us all.... I think.
Okay. So now for the happppiness which has been January:

We sure take a lot of pictures in her pjs, don't we?
I guess that's all of them for now... hmmm I thought there were like 300... I'll have to check out what's going on.
So it let me add more pictures, but for some reason it's not letting me drag them around. Whatev! (((SO THIS would be where you go back up to the other picture in the same pjs and scroll upwards.... )))

I love the picture of Brooklin all bundled up in the stroller! You are ambitious! She is such a cutie, by the way!
That is scary to have a fall with your baby. Something like that happens to everyone. Glad it was only 2 stairs and she's fine!
I remember when Julia fell off the kitchen counter and I thought she was going to die. It's scary, but luckily kids' bodies are made for lots of falls (thank goodness!). I'm glad to hear everything's okay!
She is so cute! And her eyes are beautiful! I hope you guys are doing well and glad to hear she is ok from the fall...just wait until she starts walking, it comes with more scary falls!
Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun :) I can't believe how old she is getting!
She is so cute! I love her outfits and headbands.
Seriously!
Cutest... baby... EVER!
:)
Brooklin is ADORABLE!!! She seems like such a happy baby! I can only imagine how you felt when you dropped her! I know I am going to do something like that one day and I'm already dreading it! With me as clumbsy as I am I know it will happen. I can hope it won't but I doubt it. I loved your update! My Dad said he got to see/hold Brooklin and loved it - he got his baby fix until he can meet Charlie-Marie.
