So, for the last few weeks Brooklin has been walking around with assistance from adult fingers. This last week, she switched over to just one finger, instead of demanding two - one for each hand. Also, her grandpa smith tricked her into taking a few steps on her own over the last week or two. But as soon as she'd realize that she no longer had adult support, she stopped where she was, sat down, and stuck her hand up for a finger.
Today - after switching her usual finger hold for a towel (adult hangs onto one end, Brooklin hangs on to the other), the towel was dropped by the adult and she walked 18 steps on her own! HA! We knew she had it in her! My dad did this similar trick with different objects and that's how he got her to take 2 or 3 steps on her own these last couple of weeks, but man today she just took off! Crazy girl!
I'm pretty sure it'll still be another couple of weeks, probably even more, before she is walking on her own all the time - which I'm definitely okay with! Maybe though when her cousins get her next week she'll see how cool it is to be able to walk around on her own. I'm sure she'll be doing her best to try and keep up with Sadie!
Unfortunately I really haven't captured any of her little strolls on camera - but I'll start leaving it around so I can get her in the act one of these times.
Love that girl! She cracks me up!

Fun! Once she realizes that she can walk without having to put her toys down, she'll take off.
It is such a blessing once they start walking! Congrats :)
Ethan is the same way. He is starting to take steps on his own, but still loves to hold our finger too. They grow so fast. How are you doing with baby number 2? Good job
