Disneyland!

Sorry, no pictures. You can go away now if that's the reason you stopped by :)

The reason being: our camera is ancient, so we lost the cord that connects the camera to the computer. I'm not sure quite how to get around that yet, but we'll figure it out, I'm sure.

Anyway - YAY! We got to go to DISNEYLAND!

Trenton had a last minute trip (as in, we were told while he was on a different last minute california trip that he'd be leaving again for california in 4 days.) I was annoyed. Well, I was quite mad actually since the first last minute trip was hard enough for me to deal with. Buuut, he suggested that maybe we should go with him so we wouldn't have to be apart for so long and happened to have a couple of free round trip flights - and his work would pay for the hotel and rental car, obviously, since he would be going down for work. And the budget they give for food while travelling is very generous (unless you go to an expensive steak house) so we were all able to eat at the company's expense. It was great!

The Irvine office was literally just across the street from our hotel so the babies and I were able to use the car during the day, then we all hung out after he was done working. I tried taking the munchkins swimming on my own at the hotel, and didn't do it again without Trenton there. I just didn't have enough arms for two non-swimmers. Plus, the water was kind of chilly so Mackenzi didn't like it too much but was happy when I wrapped her in a towel and just snuggled her. So that left my legs to help Brooklin out, and so she pretty much just sat on the steps into the pool until we all decided we were pretty much done with that. But, swimming was a blast when Trenton was able to join us!!

The girls and I found a pretty cool outdoor mall that we frequented during the days, as well as a super fun little park for Brooklin to run around in, complete with slides, swings, and sand. What more could a 2 year old ask for?

We planned the trip to stay through Saturday - coming home on Sunday - so that we could spend Saturday at the Happiest Place on Earth :)

We had a lot of fun. It was exhausting for Brooklin - Mackenzi was still a super trooper sleeper so she survived the day rather well - and we decided that next time we do a Disneyland type thing we'll head back to the hotel halfway through the day for REAL naps (as opposed to stroller naps, which didn't ever happen for Brooklin until we were on the way back to the hotel that night) and maybe some quiet playtime before heading back for the evening parades and shows. We sadly missed all parades etc this time because we figured since Brooklin hadn't had a nap that she would have been too tired and grumpy to enjoy them anyway.

Her favorite things were seeing the Princesses (Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Belle, and Jasmine) as well as seeing Mickey and Minnie. She loved the carousal and the Dumbo ride, as well as It's a Small World and the Buzz Lightyear shoot everything in sight ride.

Overall, the trip was a BLAST - and although i'm not anxious to travel again without having Trenton with us full time (ie on one of his business trips) I'm glad that we were able to do it this time!

His next trip is the last two weeks in June (coming right up!) and he'll be heading to Alaska. We were thinking about going with him on this one since he'll be within minutes from his sister Becky and her family - but RIGHT after he gets home we'll be heading down to Utah for the Meibos reunion, and I didn't think 3.5 weeks of travel would be that great for the girls.

I'll see what I can do about pictures and try to get some up when I figure it out!!
