Andrew will start going to nursery,
and Trenton turns 30!
Mackenzi and I are going to have a lot more bonding time with Brooklin in school all day. Yes, ALL DAY kindergarten. I'm not thrilled about that.

and lots of time inside our cool house when it was too hot. Here the kids are s
nacking, or eating breakfast. It's a typical set of photos. Andrew begging for food. Mackenzi walking around when she should be sitting, eating - and Brooklin taking advantage of a time when she GETS to eat. I think she's finally chilled a little, but there was a time not too long ago where she would ask for a snack ALL.DAY.LONG. No joke. I'm curious if she was "bored" and perhaps just didn't know what she was feeling. I'll miss seeing this all day every day! These cute kids all together.
Trenton and I were able to go to our Stake Youth Conference this year, and I went to Young Women's camp a week later. That whole month of getting ready for and actually going, and then recovering - was a big part of why this summer flew by. I noticed tonight that the sun started going down before 8 o'clock! Insanity! Fall is rolling in my friends.
Andrew recently discovered "tickling" the girls by sitting on them. It's hilarious! He LOVES his sisters and gets so excited when they include him on their play time. One of his favorite things to do with them is chase them around and around the whole downstairs. He's learned about hiding and shouting "BOO!", and will wait for them to come and yell "BOO!" from across the room. He also loves to hold on to one end of a scarf or necklace with Brooklin holding on to the other end and be pulled from place to place. It looks a lot like water skiing, but on land.
The kids have loved playing with legos (duplos) this summer, and I'm so happy! We've had them since Brooklin turned 2, and they would play with them once in a great while, but there hasn't been a day this summer that those legos haven't come out. I love the creativity that they invite, and especially love to see them working together on building different things. Usually they build houses for their "tiny animals" to live in, and then play with them - moving them around the different homes/stores/vehicles etc.
I LOVE these cute kids of mine and am hoping these few days before school starts will go by SUPER SUPER SLOW. I have the feeling they will not.
It brings me great comfort to remember that Brooklin is going to LOVE school. She will thrive. She'll love making new friends! And she'll love learning. She's an excellent reader, and I'm sure she will continue to grow and develop those skills, as well as many others.
September, please be kind! Keep my baby girl safe and happy, keep my baby boy from stealing toys and biting, and keep my husband from growing too many new gray hairs :D.
We shall see!
Had some fun trying out a nightgown on Mr Andrew. He loved it! It was hilarious to see him walking around in that thing. So so cute! Haha. And the girls there are watching Frozen on the iPad with headphones. "Practicing" for a long flight we'll be taking to the east coast in October. They'll do just fine ;) (positive thoughts!)
